Azzido da Bass – Dooms Day
posted: November 15, 2011 at 19:08.

And like the legendary German producer Azzido da Bass, we are back. Some of you may remember a track called ‘Dooms Night’ in 2000, which propelled Azzido to stardom, with a Timo Maas remix even charting in Britain. This is the follow up, eleven years later: complete with remixes from Sound of Stereo, Tocadisco, and many others.

The EP drops on November 21st on Lektroluv!

ZZT – Partys Over Los Angeles
posted: October 21, 2011 at 0:31.

We’re back after a long hiatus; as are techno gods Tiga and Zombie Nation, under the guise ZZT (it’s Zombie Nation Tiga, with the N on its side, geddit?) They return with the banger to pretty much eliminate all bangers- Partys over Los Angeles.

I for one prefer the Jon Convex remix to any of the others, but the original is so ridiculously cheesy it’s epic as hell:-

If you can’t wait to get your hands on that epic Jon Convex remix, by the way, XL8R have kindly released a iPod quality version here! The full release itself drops on October 25th on Turbo.

A1 Bassline – Buoyancy / Falsehood
posted: September 20, 2011 at 1:49.

It’s always nice when a pretty underrated producer breaks through and gets the recognition they rightfully deserve. Stepping up to the plate with a release on prestigious label Dirtybird, A1 Bassline serves up two hot as fuck tracks- Buoyancy and a re-release of a previous track, Falsehood, which you can listen to here:

The EP drops on Sept 27th. Grab it.

Bitchfork Mix #002 – Kakarookee
posted: September 16, 2011 at 0:43.

Our second irregular set of mixes comes from rising Mancunian producer Kakarookee. Switching between genres as if they were hot coals, this is a highly diverse and frantic mix that will get your head bopping no matter what. Definitely one not to be missed.

Jack Random ft. Shifty Sarah – Losing You
posted: September 15, 2011 at 0:31.

I fear of focusing too much on the massives; so much so I’m afriad we’ll just get swept away in posting about the trends instead of the trendsetters. Either way, Jack Random is an electro DJ with one foot literally in the rave- crazy noisy basslines, hands in the air sirens, Amen breaks, you know the type. Here’s a clip of his upcoming single featuring Shifty Sarah, “Losing You”-

The package also comes with remixes from a truckload of other producers, in a shitload of different styles- Chris Eisenhower, Kidd Steez, Kakarookee, Friday the 13th and Kid Komas, just to name a few. Here are Kid Komas & Kakarookee’s takes-

No word of a release just yet sadly, but little hype is better than no hype I guess!

DJ Mehdi: 1977 - 2011
posted: September 13, 2011 at 15:15.

Today is an upsetting day. We learnt through Twitter this afternoon that the French producer DJ Mehdi passed away- falling to his death from the roof of his own home. Known for his collaborative work with Riton, Cassius and Chromeo, as well as his solo work on Ed Banger- Mehdi was a true influence on many DJs and producers, many of which have expressed their anguish and despair on social networks.

R.I.P DJ Mehdi - your music will live on.

“Hi, remember us? We’re the two French lads who kick-started a new wave of French and electro house four or so years ago. You might know of our tracks D.A.N.C.E, Genesis, and Waters of Nazareth? Used in countless advertisements and DJ sets around the world? Well, guess what. We’re back.”

No, but in all seriousness, this track = far better than the recently leaked “Audio Video Disco”, which was released last week to a less than receptive audience. Check it.

Boys Noize & Erol Alkan – Avalanche (Canblaster Remix)
posted: September 06, 2011 at 22:07.

We’re more than aware that our presence over the last few weeks has been, well, pretty much minimal, if not, totally invisible. Shit sucks, I know.

However, this remix of one of 2010’s biggest tracks (alongside the ridiculous electro stormer Lemonade) just had to be posted. It seems like there is nothing Canblaster can’t turn to gold; the guy’s like Midas in the way he makes tracks his own.

You can grab this on Juno right now. Which I’d highly recommend if you have ears.
